In recent decades, aviation in the Netherlands has experienced (almost year-on-year) employment growth above the Dutch average despite the 2008 credit crisis and the impact of international events of every kind on air traffic. Further growth is forecast for the future and, in 2009, the Dutch government made the necessary decisions to that end. As a result, employment in the aviation industry should grow by around 7,400 jobs between 2013 and 2018.
