Experiment: Intersectoral mobility – mobility in aviation

De maatregel betreft het opzetten en uitvoeren/ ondersteunen This measure concerns setting up and implementing/supporting exchange projects between different companies, divisions and sectors in the aviation industry.

One important consideration in this respect is that mobility projects and exchange routes between companies and business units have a somewhat negative image. What we often see is a loss of confidence on the part of the employer, worker or future colleagues.

In order to build confidence, it is important to involve a representative from occupational safety/security (working conditions) and reassure the department in question that they will be getting a suitable candidate. Another important thing is to recognise that, while employees enjoy working at the airport and love its dynamism, this does not mean that they should always stay with only one employer.

This measure involves setting up and managing a number of experiments in order to facilitate (temporary) intersectoral mobility and, ultimately, to establish best practices, define conduct within the relevant companies and designate ambassadors within the target group. We have launched such experiments as Be-Linked, the Amsterdam IT Circle and Beyond Blue in order to create (temporary and, possibly, permanent) opportunities for exchange between sectors, divisions and companies.

Objectives

  • To (temporarily) initiate mobility between sectors and between companies, given the limited opportunities within the companies at present.
  • To increase employability and improve the use of employee potential by, ultimately, establishing mobility between companies.
  • To retain knowledge and expertise for the aviation industry.
